Credit Points

The following Universities have granted advanced standing in courses offered by them:

The University of Southern Queensland (Toowoomba, QLD) has agreed to the following credits: "The Faculty of Business currently grants 5 exemptions in the Bachelor of Business program and the Bachelor of Commerce program based on the Diploma of Financial Services from the Insitute of Financial Services."

These exemptions are:

  • MGT1000 - Organisational Behaviour.
  • 4 Unspecified Elective Courses.

Curtin University (Perth, WA) has agreed to the following:

"I can confirm that the completed Diploma of Financial Services from the Institute of Financial Services currently grants entry into the Bachelor of Commerce degree at Curtin Business School and also Recognition of Prior Learning for the units 10848 Management 100 and 10850 Marketing 100 (two units totalling 50 credits)."


The University of South Australia (Adelaide, SA) has granted the following credits for the Diploma of Financial Services qualification:

Bachelor of Commerce
Program Code: DBCC
6 courses – 27 units (¾ year of a 3-year degree)

Bachelor of Applied Finance
Program Code: DBBF

6 courses – 27 units (¾ year of a 3-year degree)

They have also granted the following credits for both the Certificate IV in Financial Services and Diploma of Financial Services qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce
Program Code:  DBCC
8 courses – 36 units (1 year of a 3-year degree)

Bachelor of Applied Finance
Program Code: DBBF
8 courses – 36 units (1 year of a 3-year degree)

 

Note:

Most universities will consider applications for advanced standing towards relevant financial undergraduate programs.

We suggest graduates of the Diploma of Financial Services (FNS50107) contact whichever university they wish to enrol at and submit an outline of the IFS course they have undertaken, along with their results from the IFS.
