[Part 2 of the Diploma of Financial Services]

Summary

  • This is a self-paced course.
  • Students must complete Part 1 ie the Certificate IV in Financial Services before they enrol in Part 2 - the Diploma Course.

  • Consists of 6 modules which encompass 11 competencies.
  • Can be commenced at ANY TIME throughout the year.
  • Assessed by module assignments plus 2 exams; as well as on-the-job assessment by a Workplace Supervisor.
  • Assignments can be undertaken online or paper based.
  • Students must obtain 80% to pass each module.
  • Course fee - $1,800. (A 6-month x $300 credit card instalment plan is available.)
  • A Top Student Award consisting of a plaque and $500 is presented to the person who achieves the highest overall mark in this qualification in 2010.

 

Note 1: The Diploma of Financial Services is one of the qualifications recognised by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) as fulfilling the requirements of a Nominated Responsible Manager under RG 105 as well as at least 3 years relevant experience over the immediate past 5 years. Therefore if your financial institution nominates you as a Responsible Manager you may choose to undertake the Diploma of Financial Services to fulfil ASIC's requirements.
