Summary

  • This is a self-paced course.

  • Can be commenced at ANY TIME throughout the year.
  • Consists of 10 competencies.
  • Assessed by activity assignments (NO EXAMS); as well as on-the-job assessment by a Workplace Supervisor.
  • Assignments can be undertaken online or paper based.
  • Students must obtain 80% to pass each module.
  • Course fee - $1,800. (A 6-month x $300 credit card instalment plan is available.)
  • This qualification can also be delivered in a 'blended learning' format ie workshop sessions and distance learning combined. Minimum group number is 20 people. Contact the IFS for details of costings.

Who Should Enrol?

From an employer’s perspective, those who:

  • have staff they want to mentor and reward by offering them a Nationally Recognised Qualification
  • want to reward their staff for excellence in performance
  • want to develop their frontline staff and offer them incentives to deliver a more professional level of input to the business
  • have frontline staff who show a lot of potential and/or display initiative
  • want their staff to have an all-round ability to contribute to the business
  • have staff who may qualify as New Entrant or Existing Worker Trainees
     

From an employee’s perspective, those who:

  • want to attain a Nationally Recognised Qualification
  • have attained their School Certificate, HSC or an equivalent qualification
  • generally have at least one year’s work experience but no tertiary qualifications
  • are a Supervisor or Manager and want to develop their skills from staff management through to good work practices
  • want to professionally contribute to the business
